STATUE OF THAMILCHELVAM IN FRANCE REMOVED

A statue of former LTTE Political Wing Leader Thamilchelvan which was erected in a French town was removed, Director of Public Communication and Spokesman of the Ministry of External Affairs, Bandula Jayasekera said.

The statue was erected last month in a town called La Courneuve after which initial follow ups by the External Affairs Ministry revealed that the statue was kept on private property.
