UK IS A FAILED STATE; WIMAL TO LEAD PROTEST TOMORROW

Britain is a failed state that could not even provide adequate security to a visiting leader of a foreign nation, Housing and Construction Minister Wimal Weerawansa today said at a press conference. He added that a massive protest will be held tomorrow in front of the British High Commission in Colombo tomorrow against the treatment meted out to President Rajapaksa.

He also claimed that the Government will employ Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP’s help to arrest pro-LTTE elements.

Yesterday due to alleged security concerns surrounding President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s visit to the UK the Oxford Union cancelled the President’s scheduled speech.
